I would like to invite you to submit a speaking outline for the 2008 Online Information Colloquium, taking place on 2-4 December in the Olympia Talk Centre, London.
2008 is proving to be a year of unprecedented uncertainty as the omen of an economic downturn grows. Even the dreaded in brief “Recession” has re-surfaced for the first occasion in 15 years as funds for investment in new tools and services are drying up.
But whilst the succinctness is at risk of shrinking, the digital bailiwick is growing even faster than had previously been remembrances. By 2011 the digital circle will be 10x the size it was in 2006 - now growing at 60% per annum. Around a billion giga-bytes a day are being generated online with growing expectations from consumers who “lack it all”, “want it now” and “in need of it free”.
Is your organisation ready for a leaner but more challenging digital age? Will you be qualified to provide the information, skills and tools to advise your organisation survive a digital burst in an economic downturn? Will you be capable to spot the next online advantage as it emerges?
The thread for Online 2008 is “Word at the heart of business”, focused on portion business, academia and government subject to and prosper in the first real recession of the digital age.
